Sean fronted this band back in the early 2000s. They played mostly original tunes by Sean and released one self-titled album. The other consistent members of the band were Phil Pollard and Geol Greenlee who Sean still plays with from time to time. Kevin is known for his electric guitar prowess and his amazing rock band, The Kevin Abernathy Band. But he's also a very talented songwriter whose songs shine when played acoustically. When Kevin's in the mood to play a more toned-down version of his music, he often asks Sean to accompany him on guitar, banjo, mandolin and back-up vocals.
Since it's premier in 2008, Sean has toured and performed locally with the Carpet Bag Theatre play Between and Ballad and a Blues about the life of Howard "Louie Bluie" Armstrong and his musical companions Carl Martin and Ted Bogan (originally known in Knoxville as The Tennessee Chocolate Drops." Sean plays mandolin, banjo and guitar in the band for the play.
Sean' position at the University of Tennessee includes teaching courses in "The Music of Appalachia," " The History of Rock," and "An Introduction to Music In Western Culture."
